A bit hidden, however it was the one open in a dark Wednesday evening. Warm welcome, excellent swordfish carpaccio followed by fresh-tasting spaghetti alle vongole. We shared these starters, which proved to be wise, as the steaks were perfect but HUGE! Fine Usini wine "Mattariga" Vermentino accompanied the starter and primo, A local to us unknown red if had it... More

We eat here on the very last night of our holiday. Had some metre pizzas followed by pumpkin tiramisu. Ate on the roof terrace as we were lucky to have 30 degree temperatures and a lovely warm evening. The food was lovely. The service even better. More than happy to recommend. Service and value were excellent. Thank you.

lovely service and amazing pizzas to share - which looked amazing (gutted we did not order one) However we had tuna starter, which was out of this world. Followed by lovely pasta dish.

Very Disappointing. I do not understand the positive reviews. The food was mediocre at best (and cold as well) and the light on the roof terrace felt like I was paying a visit to the dentist. Not recommended.

This place was recommended by the owner of our B&B. It serves locally sourced Sardinian products, but the menu is quite limited aside from pizzas. The food was nice especially the tuna carpaccio, but some dishes seemed a bit expensive for what they were. Don't bother eating the tiramisu, it was dry with too much powder on top, you get... More

Great Sardinian find and a warm Sardinian welcome! Seated at a table on the roof terrace we enjoyed a Sardinian meat & cheese platter (v. Generous portion for €12, enough for 2 to share as a starter) and some delicious smoked tuna carpaccio, followed by two tasty Sardinian pasta dishes. The service was great and the recommended wine was excellent... More

It's advisable to book here, as there are only a few tables on the terrace. Amongst other things they serve double pizzas - table length, which can have different toppings on each half if you prefer. The pizzas were very good indeed, the service was friendly and helpful, and we washed it all down with good local wine. What's not... More

I am in Alghero every summer for almost a decade now and I know most of the restaurants in this town. The issue is that there are lots of mediocre places to eat in Alghero serving thousands of tourists - but only a few really good restaurants with high quality food. This is one of those places. The food is... More

The food at la botteghina is good, we had some lovely fish risottos and shared a simple but nice main. We expected much more from la botteghina, however, as it is listed on the Italian Slow Food directory, which normally only advertises top quality restaurants. The service was very poor. The staff were in general erratic, were complaining amongst themselves,... More

We found this place on our last day . Big regret ! Really nice place . We went for lunch and dinner . Lovely roof terrace. Enjoyed their food and service there . Wish we found it earlier !! Pizza was superb . Liked that the products were sourced locally.
