This is my second visit here in the last year. First we have the meatballs wrapped in pancetta and a ricotta pasta dish. Tonight I have the Pizze Vanessa and a green salad. Both dinners exceeded expectations. Since it was warm out this evening I decided to eat outside and thoroughly enjoyed the people watching. I would definitely return here... More

Glacier like slow service was made even worse by the pork dishes my two friends and I had, they were basically just variations on beefburgers. Meal was dreadful and ten seconds after walking away from the Restaurant, my friend was violently sick, geyser like, in the Street. During the meal we were constantly harassed by Street sellers, including one that... More

Couple with a 4 year old, we were charged 6 euros for service which was very bad, and 2 euros for a small glass of milk which we were not to happy about. The meatballs were excellent, highly recommended and the 75cl blond beer was a great side to them as well.

Inexpensive and high quality cafe-type dining. The pizzas are the highlight- made from scratch and cooked in their own pizza oven. Reasonably good local wines and beer on tap. Probably a better bet than the much-lauded 'Fud' across the road.

Been to this restaurant on a Wednesday night, place was fairly busy as apparently this is now the hot spot in this part of Catania. They serve mostly meatballs made with any variety of meat you can think of ( including Horse). They also serve some specials on a daily basis. Nice the appetizer a platter with a variety of... More

My wife wanted a salad, which was not on the menu. Te server offered to create salad with whatever ingredients she wanted. We ended up with a terrific salad and cresh buffalo mozzarella pizza. The server even smiled-- a rarity in Sicily. Great place. No other tourists. There are several great and unique restaurants within two blocks on this street.

Reasonably priced, lots of choices. Varied and unique flavor combinations. I didn't think to ask for well done, meatballs came out pretty rare. No problem with sending back and they were cooked more. Attentive service.

Find the street Filomena and you will find a street full of restaurants. We chose to go to this one. All I can really say is if you like big massive meatballs then you won't be disappointed, if your not keen on meatballs then give it a miss.

We have ordered 2 pizzas, unfortunately! No taste, no written ingredients, pure cheese and bread, not even tasting as pizza. Don't fall in a tap of the cool Ambiente!!!

This is by far the best restaurant in Catania. Excellent Sicilian food, excellent service and lovely location.
