I went here based on the recommendations I found online and had a great dinner I originally wanted to take the mixed grilled fish but the incredibly friendly and helpful waiter suggested freshly caught "ricciola"(greater amberjack) instead. I wasn't disappointed, the fish was truly excellent,...soft and mildly flavoured, grilled to perfection and perfectly accompanied by a local white wine (another recommendation). I recommend any person who loves fish to make a beeline to this place if they ever visit Catania.More

Amazing evening!! I have visited few restaurants during my stay in Sicily Catania, however Calarittu is the by far the best! We were seated and greated by Manuel and his hospitality made our dinner even more enjoyable. My husband requested something outside the menu to...make him and without hesitation he accommodated him Food was delicious but nothing compares to the hospitality and warmth of the host. Fabulous! Definitely worth a visit! We tried to book a table for last night but it was full so booked for tonight- well worth the wait! Food was delicious and great wine, the dessert is definitely worth leaving spa be ce for and the homemade...lemon granita is amazing! Service was great, friendly and totally relaxed. It will definitely be on the top of our list when we come back to CataniaMore
