This restaurant has a wide variety of Sicilian food. Their buffet had so many different dishes, it was hard to pick. This is a favorite of the locals.

Slow food heaven, on the edge of the Vucciria market. Clean and bright and not at all fancy, but very welcoming. The clientele seems to be half local families and half tourists (we heard French and German at adjacent tables). English not spoken, or minimally, but it's all good; just bring a phrasebook to translate the entree ingredients. Get the... More

26 € for pasta w/tomato & sardines, and soup w/tomato, clams & mussels plus 2 wines, fizzy water & bread; hard to find this place but worth the effort.

Had a great anti pasta buffet. Dinner was ok, but generally southern Italy food is not as flavorful, due to lack of spices and garlic.

On a walking tour took advantage of Lonely Planet recommendation and were very pleased. Friendly service and one of the few remaining and delightful buffet antipasti with many local dishes. The pasta with sword fish shrimp and zucchini was very good as was the spaghetti with eggplant. Very good lunch spot.

Centraly located it is a real finding. The fading tradition of selecting your antipasto from a wide selection is very alive here and good reasonable choices. The service is good and efficient. You can choose your fish from an ice bed selection of fresh fish and my red mullet grilled was perfect. Their salmon and pistaccio, salmon and shrimp excellent.... More

Tried the antipasto buffet heralded by Lonely Planet, but it was poorly tended with some dishes empty and other "hot" dishes left cold. Squid entree somewhat overcooked, though she liked her salad. Much better options in Palermo; in fact, the more we strayed from guide book favorites, the better our food got.

Enjoyed our food selection. However, one of our party discovered a hair in their pasta dish and alerted the waitress . She then removed the half finished dish. We fully expected a replacement but as this didn't appear we questioned the waitress. She did not think it necessary to provide a replacement as 'it was only a small hair' .... More

OK, first, let's put the antipasto issue to rest. It's great. The one guy that gave it a poor review was totally out to lunch. They have about about a dozen dishes of cold/room temp items that were uniformly pretty delicious: several dishes with smoked or cooked eggplant, stuffed mushrooms, rice roll (I think) wrapped in anchovie, something like pickled... Really good selection of antipasti dishes for 8 euro, you can select your fish and they will cook it for you or go for one of their pasta or risotto dishes. Fish is charged by weight and the pasta was about 10 euro. House wine was very cheap and ok
