We were on a mission to find the best Palermo gelato and we found it at Al Gelatone. Despite being full from lunch we thought we play safe with the cone option. Brioche buns are also available! We did not however envisage 2 enormous scoops of delicious vegan friendly gelato. Try the pistachio and toasted almond. You will not be... More

Just the best ice cream sandwich in the world. The store looks fantastic and the staff is very kind and if that wouldn't be enough it is also cheap.

Our cruise ship stopped at Palermo for the day. We were not impressed with the city but found this gem. Absolutely the best thing about Palermo and not to be missed. The selection is outstanding and huge. The Gelato and Sorbetto were fantastic. The prices were very reasonable too. If you are in Palermo you can't miss this place.

For vegans, lactose intolerant, diabetics, healthy-eaters this is a wonderful place to have an ice cream. They have several choices without milk, without sugar (with stevia!) and more. They even have some flavours for sports-fanatics (with more protein and less fat). Of course the ice creams are amazing!

This is a very special gelato place. All the gelato is fresh and tasty. Some of gelato flavours are uniquely Sicilian, for example the lemon basil was delicate and delicious.

WONDERFUL gelato, with friendly staff! Went to the store on Via Giuseppe Puglisi Bertolino, twice now! Ordered the pistachio & hazelnut (classic flavors)... then the Sicilian lemon & pineapple... it's all great!

Our hotel owner recommended Al Gelatone as his favorite. We took his advice and went for brioche. HUGE serving of gelato in a split brioche roll and a small cup of gelato for 4 euro. Fantastic deal for a fantastic treat.

Well- known shop full of clients also locally. There are so many choices and quite hard to make my mind! And it's my first time know "brioche con gelato", very interesting ~ Worth a ( or more) visiting.
