We came here an evening we were not very hungry. We were seduced by the decoration of the tables while we passed by, we couldn't resist the temptation to try a couple of dishes. The people were very warm and welcoming, the wine was home-produced, the food delicious. If we weren't leaving the day after, we would have certainly returned.

The decor already is different from you'll usually find in a normal restaurant. Dolls, old tables of different shapes, strange chairs and elaborated menus. This tricky restaurant is the creation of the owner that brings his own vision of the world. The decor shouldn't really take the main spot here because the food is really good and offers different recipes... More

Very expensive and horrible food. Terrible waitress and bad drinks. We asked for an aperol spritz and they brought us only the liqueor, no prosseco, no ice, no aqua minerale. One simple foccacia was 7 euro and it had no taste. Never come back.

As has been stated before, decor is very quirky, but the atmosphere is good, tables close together which makes talking to fellow diners easy, however not so good for privacy, We enjoyed our meal of tuna mattelo, & swordfish mattelo. Both well cooked & very hot, although no side dish included, which was stated on the menu. We had a... More

A lovely setting with really nice tables and place settings. However, the service was not welcoming (young man) and the food did not live up to expectations (the dish of raw vegetables and fruit contained far too much chopped cabbage, a couple of tomatoes, limp lettuce, a few grapes and a blob of pureed beetroot---a rip-off for 12 euros. The... More

In the heart of Ortigia lies this funky/quirky looking place. The mains are quite delicious, but the soups were disappointingly bland. The tiny wine list changes weekly, and had some interesting choices. But the house red is to be avoided. Service was okay, but not particularly friendly or welcoming

Walled island Ortygia, the heart of ancient Syracuse, is awash in city centre restaurant choices. Sandwiched between baroque architectural masterpieces, they offer great eating options and people watching settings. “Trattoria La Foglia” is a very different “round the corner” Aladdin’s cave of burnished experiences. It takes a little effort to locate it; if you find yourself strolling down Via Giuseppe... More

You can usually tell a good restaurant when there are people constantly hovering for a table, which they were here! This place is not far from the duomo in Ortigia (the 'island') and we stumbled across it by chance. It is a little bit "hippy-chic" but charming and the food was good, arrived promptly and was very reasonably priced. Ortigia... More

We ate here in September 2016. Very nice and unique decoration; we only came in for an aperitive but stayed for a whole meal. We never regretted it. Prosecco was served in a huge glass; the bruscetta was very good, as were the little arancini. As main dish we had ravioli with ricotta and mint sauce, which was delicious. As... More

Just wonderful. Lovely service and great food. Really fresh, you could taste the freshness. I was offered fish that waa not on the menu and was the best brwam I ever tasted. Cooked to perfection with a tomato and caper sauce. Highly recommend. Price was good value too.
