We were pointed in the direction of this tiny trattoria by our Airbnb owner and having read the reviews decided it was a must visit. We were mindful that it gets full quickly as it is very small and popular so we got there around 7.10, without a reservation, for a drink before service at 7.30. There were a few... More

We arrived quite late - the last to be eating, but they were very obliging. There is a great choice of local wine. They did a fantastic vegetarian antipasto collection and daily fish special (lampuga) was amazing. It looks like a caf but the standard of the food it really something.

As slow food members, it was a "must" for us to visit this place, but it was a disappointment. Ok, it was better than most tourist haunts in Siracusa, but nothing to write home about. Service was indifferent and much too fast, which I can' t appreciate, because they want me to quickly eat up and leave so that they... More

This is the type of restaurant you wish you could have at home and eat in often. Straightforward food of a very high quality served simply and at a very good price. The menu is all traditional Sicilian recipes and ingredients fresh from the daily food market located just a few blocks from this location. The mixed appetizers are a... More

Simple, generous fare. The octopus dish I had was great and my partner had a very generous portion of antipasti. There was perhaps an over-reliance on the microwave - so the antipasti got microwaved (including the olives...)

A little hole in the wall on Via Cavour. Friendly staff, great local wine and food. I suggest the Sicilian appetizers and the spaghetti with cream and almonds. It is advisable to make reservations as it gets quite crowded.

Pasta swimming in oil, crazy prices, fish not fresh. Cakes full of sugar without any taste. Unfriendly. Small. Wine taste of vinegar.

This place is recommended in the slow food guide and they list the local purveyors and produce in the menu. Small selection of fresh and seasonal Sicilian food. Great choose for vegetarians as well. Busy and popular you may have to wait for a table in the is tiny Osteria but the wait is worth it.

Reviews had led us to expect a very basic cafe, but it is decorated with photo artwork, attractive tables and a friendly atmosphere. Food and drink good.

We had heard that la gazza Ladra was good. We were very deceived. The service was surly and extremely slow; the food was dreadful. Vegetables cooked to mush, and fish pasta with tough tasteless white fish. On top of that the table was dirty as were the cutlery and glasses. Next table to us had a bull mastiff off leash... More
