We had dinner here several times during our January/February trip to Siracusa. It is an excellent restaurant with wonderful seafood. Very friendly people who made us feel really welcome every time. The restaurant is popular with locals as well as visitors. Highly recommended!

Never ate here. Recommended by our hotel. We arrived minutes before opening and we're greeted by an irritable "gentleman" who just blew us off. Rainy and windy night--I would have had us come in and have the offer of a glass of wine while a short time passed. Certainly on my list of who not to try again.

Our lunch here was delicious and served attentively in an attractive setting. Good wine and good value as well.

This was recommended by our hotel, and we came for dinner on a Saturday, enjoying fish oriented pasta dishes. We came back for lunch next day and had a truly massive zuppe de pesce for 2 with wine for EUR60, which was brimming with local clams, mussels, prawns and white fish. An absolutely huge meal, and we noted the fridge... More

We ordered the Menu di Pesce for 35 euros, it was not worth the cost. The antipasto was very good, first course (pasta) underwhelming and the prawns were very small and difficult to take the shell off, second course (roasted fish) had very little flavor (and not de-boned), the orange/fennel salad was good but ending on a high note, the... We were set to be wowed, but it didn't happen. We started with the salmon tartare and the sloppiness of the preparation was the first thing we saw. The cuts on the salmon were so uneven that bites contained large "slivers" or small neat cuts. The ravioli with shrimp was too over-sauced making the not peeled, over cooked shrimp nearly... More

If you like the typical sicilian cuisine this small osteria might be the right place. Try as antipasto caponata di mare and after that risotto pescatore. You may hardly find anything better. Very friendly personal and moderate prices. Make a reservation!

Judging by the number of people queueing for a table you would have thought that this was an outstanding choice. Unfortunately this was not our experience. The service once we got seated, which took the best part of half an hour, was slow. The food was of average quality and expensive compared to others in the area.

I went to this restaurant for dinner on October 15, 2016. The primi menu included spaghetti with garlic and olive oil, along with several other spaghetti options containing seafood. When I tried to order the spaghetti with garlic and olice oil, the waiter laughed and said that they had no spaghetti that day and to come back tomorrow. I thought... More

My wife and I stayed in Siracusa as part of a two-week tour of Sicily and the food at Osteria was one of the highlights-so good we went twice! The food variety and quality were outstanding and a great value-3-course dinner and desert with a bottle of house wine for €90!!! The atmosphere and service also made it an easy... More
