We waited for 1hr and a half but it was totally worth it. The sandwich was amazing and to be honest, the waiting was quite fun, even for my 4 year old twins! They prepare a sandwich for them while we waited for our sandwich and didn't even charge for it.

It was my second visit , two years later -where I insisted that my boyfriend comes with and he was equally astounded ! We both loved it ! It was worth waiting ! The waiting is longer but the guy does the best job and he does have that personal approach with every customer ! The best sandwich ever !... More

Luckily my partner happened upon the Tripadvisor review of the "Sandwich man" while we were in Syracuse, it is easy to find in the Mercato di Ortigia. Be entertained by the Sandwich Maestro while you wait for the best panini on the planet. .

This was a highlight visit to an Ortigia landmark. OMG the energy was contagious as We had such fun watching the owner make panini, watching the crowd Wait for Panini, tasting delicious cheeses, meats, & wines. Our Waiter, Antonio, was a blast! What started as a gathering of three people, ended with more than 10 traveling companions laughing, eating and... More

It's one of the seven wonders of the culinary world. Perfection in the shape of a sandwich it's a real 5 star experience. Loved it with all the 5 senses.

Loved this place! Must visit and try. Paninis were great, you could see the passion they were made with, the ingredients were high quality. I could really eat here every day!

This little corner next to the fish market is not really noticeable if we didn't know it from trip advisor. It has the best cheese and wine selection. I've never seen another place in the world to make tastier sandwiches ;) it was a great and really delicious Sicilian experience

Describing the food at Borderi's shop is useless without first saying a bit about the 'waiting' experience. It probably took about half an hour from the moment we joined the queue to the moment we walked away greedily guarding our fresh sandwiches. It might have been more, it might have been less - we basically lost track of time, because... More

How do you give these guys anything less than a five-star review. Had to wait a good half hour in line. But the sandwich was unbelievable and when I went to pay I handed a 20 thinking I would get back little change and they gave me €15 in change. So for five dollars I shared a sandwich with my... If visiting Siracusa you must stop here for lunch. Great sandwiches and cold cuts and cheese boards. Service is fast and priced correctly. Don't expect cutlery and glasses as the food is served in the small tables in the heart of the market while the nearby stalls are selling produce and fresh fish. Ask for the cannoli at the end,... street food of Ortigia. Dairy Borderi serves a wide range of products and typical Sicilian cheeses made by hand. We are in the market of Ortigia, and the place we serve our sandwiches and platters. We carry out the catering service and ship all over the world.
