We found Clandestino by accident - we'd planned to visit a restaurant round the corner, which was closed. We were very pleased. The food was superb - interesting menu, and very difficult to choose. Fortunately two of us were happy to share the seafood tasting...antipasto, which was unbelievable - mussels, deep-fried tempura prawns, sweet and sour tuna, fresh grilled sardines, smoked swordfish with apple and ricotta. Next courses equally good, especially the paddlefish (new to the English palate). The waitress was wonderful - knew about the food; very knowledgeable about the wines and made a very appropriate suggestion to modify our original choice of wine. Highly recommended.More

Clandestino is run by a young and friendly team who knows their art. The cook gives a refreshing twist to local high quality products while keeping its essence. The staff will expertly help you to pair your food with a large choice of excellent local...wines. If your you are a food lover and are passing by Syracuse, Clandestino is definitely worth the stop.More

Very stylish and pleasant interior, excellent service. The food was well-prepared - the best seared octopus we have had in Sicily, nice vegetable sides. Prices are similar to most other restaurants in Ortigia, but the quality is higher, in our observation. We were very pleased.
