On our first day in Taormina we came here for lunch and shared a meat and cheese meal which was divine. As was the wine, all local and much of the food from the family farm - some of the cheeses for example. Every item...was superb, we were tempted to come back for every meal!More
Grazie mille per averci recensito Mario e Concettina
Authentic experience with incredible home made cheese and cold cuts. We took recommendation on Frappato red wine which doesn’t have sulfites and it was a dream! Medium platter which is recommended for 2 can easily be shared by 3 people.
Grazie mille 😊 Mario e Concettina
We split a huge meat & cheese platter here. Highly recommend stopping for lunch if you are hungry! There is also a great park close by that worth the stroll.

Stopped in for lunch after a recommendation and had a lovely lunch of local produce (hams and cheeses), recommended wine and Sicilian specialities. Really warm welcome and service. Would definitely recommend. A more cosy, wine bar setting than the alfresco settings we’re used to in...Taormina.More

This was the number 1 restaurant on trip advisor in Taurmina and deservedly so. The quality of the meat plateau was excellent, as was the wine and service. We will definitely be visiting this restaurant on many occasions.

Absolutely wonderful, service, food, atmosphere and wine. Staff were so knowledgeable and helpful. We will be back!

This is a restaurant which is owned and run by passionate people, who love and serve up the locally produced, cheese, meat and vegetables that they also sell in there shop during the day. The business model is simple, food platters of various meat, cheese...and vegetarian offerings either sourced locally or made themselves, served with fantastic wine from Sicily. Mario and his wife are so knowledgable about the food and complementary wines it was a pleasure to hear them speak so passionately about what they were serving. The setting is authentic above the shop, the only downside is that they dont sell the wonderful homemade fig jam that comes with the cheese and meat platter, delicious. Cant fault anythingMore
Grazie mille and sorry for jam 😊 Mario e Concettina
Lovely service from very friendly maitre d’. We chose the standard platter medium size which was good for two people. Vegetables and caponata, six different types of ham/ salami, three cheeses, then ricotta with honey and nuts. Unlimited bread. We had a short discussion on...wine and had a local red. Being wary of prices in Taormina, I was going to go for an extra glass, but the whole bottle was €27, so we had that! This is not fine dining, but rather, robust welcoming country food. We left nicely fed and watered with a bill of only €85 all in. We’re here for 10 days and will definitely go again before we leave. This place could teach many other restaurants a thing or two.More

Amazing place to visit, we came for lunch, initially you think you are in the wrong place as the front is a cheese shop, but we were soon guided to the cute room at the back. As vegegarians we had the Paola (some parmigiana, caponata...and a whole load of cheese) this was more than enough for two and we could not quite finish it. Our favourite was the truffle cheese, the wine was delicious also. Without doubt though the best thing about this restaurant was the host who explained the cheeses to us in good detail and could be heard encouraging other customers to order less so they didnt over order, lovely to see him putting customers before profit.More
