Firenze, which is Florence as in English, is a beautiful city in Italy. Also, this area is popular as red wine and t bone steak. Of course, there are many good restaurants in Florence, so I visited three different places. However, no one was like 4 Leoni, because they showed steak that I had and confirmed our opinions, but others... More

After reading some good reviews our two families had lunch at 4 Leoni in late December. It was good, but the 24 Euro surcharge as a cover charge at the end of the meal was insulting. It felt like a tourist swindle. And the waiter made a comment that it "goes to the owner so we don't get a tip".... More

We were recommended this restaurant by 2 sets of friends and so reserved for my friend's birthday. The maitre d' was busy (Friday night) but seated us as quickly as possible. Our waiter was more than helpful and patient (with the indecisive customers at the next table) and we joked with him as we knew exactly what we wanted. The... More

Loved their signature fiocchetti with taleggio and pear, filetto was great and so was the cheesecake. It's an inch over priced for what it is. What ruined it a bit is the very strong smell of sewage... they said it's very common in Florence due to the old pipes but it's so strong you can't concentrate on your meal! Suggest... More

I had an amazing arugula salad with pear, walnuts, parmesan and extra virgin olive oil. Then had the fiocchi pear and asparagus with cream sauce. My husband had the leg of pork, porchetta style. The food was amazing and has not changed it's fine quality since the last time we visited.

When I entered the restaurant I was concerned about two things. Could they handle a group of 12 with an age range from 4 to senior and how would they help us with their Italian only menu. Let me assure you they did great on both concerns. They were very helpful with the menu so we could order what we... More

We ate here twice. Once when we arrived and once before we left. This place only uses the freshest ingredients. We had knockout bruschetta when we arrived but because the tomatoes were not fresh, we couldn't get it when we ate there before we left. It didn't matter, we had great food each time we ate there. I recommend reservations... More

I visited this restaurant twice while I was in Florence and the food and service was impeccable. They also offered gluten free pasta. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it is really beautiful inside. Highly recommend this restaurant for pasta and steak.

Our server was excellent and friendly, but the woman serving the adjoining tables was downright mean to her customers. Someone politely asked for tap water rather than bottled, and she replied in a very biting tone, "we do not serve TAP water in Florence!" She also pushed the expensive and overrated bistecca fioentina on unsuspecting tourists, rather that their delicious... More

Very nice italian trattoria on the other side of the river..... Nice and casual atmosphere, good food, good service... We had Florentine Steak, which was the best we had during the visit to Florence. We also liked Fried artichokes and bruschetta with beans and cheese cake. We went for lunch.... It's among my 3 best restaurants in Florence....

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
