Mediocre at best. Too busy, too hectic, no sense of comfort. Very pedestrian. Coffee below average. Service quite alright despite the busy.

We stumbled upon this place while looking for another. It's on a quiet street in central old-town Florence. From the outside it looked as if now one was there, but it's one if those places that's larger on the inside that you, at first, imagine....More

This little gem was found on a cold and rainy day, after a full week of heavy pastas and pizzas. We ordered a shared lunch of bean soup, a side of sautéed spinach, a side salad and (what we considered to be) the best lasagna...More

The restaurant is immensely popular and doesn’t take bookings. Show up 30 minutes after it opens and you end up waiting 40 minutes for a table on a quiet day. That said it’s a definite go-to after a full day of walking around Florence. Have...More

We stopped in here for lunch and had a lovely meal. Wait staff was great-so friendly and welcoming! Caprese Salad was delicious and we ordered the pasta e fagoli soup which was perfect on a cold winter day. Would definitely go back!

The restaurant is in great location- close to the train station, museums, bell tower and shops! The waiter was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. The appetizers were great! Cheeses are very fresh. But, the first and second courses were just average. These dishes were...More

Looked promising busy restaurant but didn't deliver. Unexciting. with no frills.lasagne was basic and no culinary expertise demonstrated by chef. One dish looked pretty much like the next indistinguishable.

Visited 3 times for dinner during 1 week. Comparing to other places where we dined during this stay, it was the best. Food was nourishing during breezy day, we had a table 2 times upstairs and 1 downstairs (less crowdy). On our 2nd and 3rd...More

Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the
majority of the people arriving in Florence, which
might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists
come across the constant hustle and bustle of the
station before exiting, taking a few steps and
stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It
is impossible not to admire the the square, housing
one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The
