Unique and daring! You should arrive with an open mind and a clear palate! Our server actually sat with us to share the specials and her recommendations. Look at the menu before you visit!

We had a bottle of Sangiovese-merlot, which was actually very cheap "vino sfuso", somothing that you can find in a store around the corner for 1,50€ per liter, and we paid 16€ for it. But the worse thing is that the wine was really bad for my stomach. I felt sick all night and the morning after. Outrageous for a... More

This was a very enjoyable meal. A great experience all round. Traditional Florentine dishes skillfully prepared. Nothing pretentious. We were thankful for our waiter who obviously took pride in his work and the food he served. He very clearly described the ingredients and cooking techniques of the dishes for which asked his guidance. I will return whenever I am in... More

Outstanding food. Four of us ate here, so we were able to try a number of dishes, and we were pleased with everything. Dishes appeared to be based on what is seasonally available, with a small menu so that food is freshly prepared. Lively small dining room. Make sure you find the Trattoria, as Cibreo also has a ristorante &... More

We had an excellent meal in this small unassuming trattoria near Santa Croce. Informal and cozy. Very intimate. Their chicken liver pateé was amazing as well as the stuffed roasted rabbit with fantastic caramelizad onions. The minestrone piazzesi soup was also amazing. We paired the meal with a good 2014 Cantine Lupo Syranto from Lazio. This is an excellent option... More

We've lived in Florence for two years now and this time was our first at Trattoria Cibreo! We stopped by the cafe first for a drink before dinner which was a great idea. We headed over to the trattoria as soon as it opened since we heard it got busy and they don't accept reservations (highly recommend you follow this... More

We went to this restaurant after reading good comments on it on Internet. What a disappointment! The menu was very limited. The server told us in advance that everything is served at room temperature. A sign of the service to come! We ordered meat loaf and received after a very long wait two small slices of what could be described at... More

Visited with friends on a Saturday night. For me....menu was very limited...the most of any of the restaurants visited thus far in Italy (just over a week). Very few Antipasti & Secondi options....and I simply couldn't visualize 'Stuffed Chicken Necks'...and other unique dishes of a similar vein. That said my wife & travel companions were very happy with their selections.... More

The simple sister of Cibreo, this is a charming restuarant in a street behind Santa Croce. We ate outside and the food is genuinely of the region and Italian style of simplicity with local ingredients. A tomato and bread siup (served at ambient temperature and then an amazing stuffed chicken neck with mayonnaise (and the head). A complimentary taster of... More

The chef of this restaurant is one of the most well-known in Florence. The trattoria is his low end venue. He has a number of well-known Tuscan dishes such as bread soup and chicken meatballs with ricotta. The later quite good, the bread soup a poor version. I had a very thinly sliced veal dish smothered with hummus. Interesting. To... More
