This restaurant is just a little away from the bustle of the city centre but was recommended by our hotel which was only a few minutes walk away. The decor isn't extravagant or flash and in some ways you sensed an unusual atmosphere but this is because there is a real vibe or culinary creativity which exudes as soon as... More

I am not a "serial reviewer", despite TripAdvisor's constant soliciting. To me, a truly good place or experience deserving to be shared is what motivates me to take the time and write the description. In that vein, this is a non-descript little lunch place not far at all from Ponte Veccio that we know you'll find as special as we... More

We went three times in three days, twice for dinner and once for lunch. This is where Florentines come. There's a large outside dining space (inside is small). Knowledgeable staff and terrific food, almost all seafood. Prices are not excessive. Will look forward to returning next time we're in Florence.

An explosion of flavours even for the more picky eaters. The cured meat, fish tartar, ravioli and typical Tuscan desert were simply to die for! Great expertise in flavours of food and wines. The classy ambience as well as the passion of the hosts made the experience even more memorable. A must try in Florence!

Intimate place, attentive, friendly staff, unbelievable food, artistic food made with love. I arrived for just a glass of wine. The owner explained where the wine came from and how it might taste to me. After a few glasses, I needed some food . They suggested the tuna appetixer..oh my God! The best taste Ive had in3 weeks inItaly!

Stumbled upon this restaurant while staying at a nearby hotel. Service was fantastic, the waiter was so friendly and had a great knowledge of wines. For starters the tuna with mozzarella was delicious. My partner had the scallops and they were also cooked to perfection. For mains I really recommend the black pasta with mussels and mixed seafood.. heaven. Enjoyed... More

Go a little bit outside of the city center and come here. It's deceivingly modest from the outside and located in a more residential part of town. I wasn't sure what to expect when my friends and I decided to come here, but what we found was really really good. The menu is traditional with a twist. I had lobster... More

We couldn't have asked for a better Christmas evening away from home! My son and I enjoyed wonderfully prepared food, a fine bottle of wine (selected with assistance from co-owner Gianluca) and, to end the evening, Limoncello. (If you're lucky, maybe you can try the "house cello.") After spending nine evenings in Firenze, Pane e Olio is at the top... More

We walked here as we were staying a few blocks away at the Vill Antea, and we had a really enjoyable meal. Great wine, attentive service and delicious food which sort of pushed the boundaries of what you think of for Italian food, even in Florence where there seems to be a willingness to experiment with cooking styles. We gret... More
