The place is right on the other place of the Porto Vecchio ´, yet a bit in the district - so it was just a pure luck. The place is where locals are coming - as the waiters have greeted many customer by the first name (and those where "experience" aged customers!). I had a lunch - which was Bisteca... More

We ate here three times, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening in the middle of November. It is a smallish, intimate restaurant with a reasonable menu at (for Florence) reasonable prices (we found the prices in Florence about 10 - 12% higher than Rome) The chef produced a Florentine steak that was one of the best I have ever had, though... Found this place after searching online for a reasonably priced Florentine Steak. Arrived around 11:40am and was shrugged away by the female waitress after I asked what time they open which was at 12nn. We strolled by the Golden Bridge and returned by 11:55am and by this time we helped ourselves in. Apparently they officially start working when the campanile... More

We ate both lunch and dinner at Bordino. Lunch menu was was a single page with only that day's offerings, which change daily. 9 and 12€ choices, most were your choice of two items cor 9€. So good we immediately made reservations for dinner. Dinner presented full menus with a broad range of dishes. We enjoyed all we ordered. Desserts... More

My sons and I ate there and the bistecca was heavenly. Also had the spinaci saltati and I felt that nonna was back and cooking for me again! It took us a little extra time to find it because the tripadvisor map put us on the street parallel to it along the Arno. After a little stroll we finally found... More

We had the best bistecca a la fiorentina in town for a price which was more then reasonable and ended up the first evening sitting with the waiters, talking and having a drink. When we went back a few days later for lunch, we got the dessert offered for free and even customized according to the nice discussions we had... More

Went there because of the reviews on TripAdvisor. Mixed crostini horrible...tasteless. Scalopinne with white wine sauce...very basic. Sauce was more like lemon sauce and not at all thick Risotto with mushrooms the best dish, really nice!!!. Bistecca totally raw...I know this is the way but maybe I need less blood in my plate!!!No side dish because nobody explained that the... More

We wandered in off the street with a good review to guide us. There were nine of us in two groups, including a baby. The menu was very limited, along the lines of a rural eatery. Some had pasta too but we all had barbecued beef. The beef was medium rather than rare but it was delicious. It was accompanied... More

This restaurant was recommended by our guest house just around the corner. Believe me when you ate 'doing' Florence it helps to have your evening meal close to your bedroom! The first 2 nights we ate here and both the food and service were really good. We were very happy not to have to walk any further and planned to... More

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
