I am not sure whether Florence simply provides excellence in respect of dining experiences or whether I chose well but Bottega Conviviale was another outstanding restaurant that gave rise to yet another perfect evening’s dining. Relaxed, informal with a great menu, from the moment you...More

My husband and I dined here on our 3rd night in Florence and it was lovely. We had the soup and cuttlefish to start (fantastic flavours) followed by pizza for me and ravioli for my husband, both wonderful. The complimentary extras were a nice touch:...More

While my husband and I thought the pizza crust here was divinely matched with great toppings, I liked the sophistication of the other menu items. I think it sets itself apart from the others with finer twists on traditional menus. Matteo, the owner, is passionate...More

I made a reservation for late lunchtime. I had a first plate and pizza. I asked for the house red. The gnocchi with Gorgonzola, beets, and pear sounded a strange combination, but it blended well together, actually was remarkable. The Margherita pizza DOP was the...More

We booked this restaurant based on the previous reviews. The food was excellent and service was attentive. The pizzas were the best we had eaten in Florence. You are welcomed with a glass of prosecco and thanked with a glass of cinnamon flavoured drink with...More

Cute place highly rated. The owner was very nice and spoke English well. We had the house red, a Chianti Classico

Our last night in Florence. I wish we’d found this restaurant earlier. Lovely atmosphere, charming staff, reasonably priced, and the best beef fillet I’ve had for a LONG time. Recommended - but book. It’s popular for all the reasons above.

Decent prices and the most delicious pizza. Book in advance as restaurant is quite small. Worth a visit for sure.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch and it was fantastic. We each got a pizza and split a bottle of wine. The best part of each pizza was the dough. By far the best pizza dough I ever had. The cheese etc was...More

The place was a hidden gem. The free appetizer and proseco given at the beginning of the meal was a nice treat.. we were 5 men that split 2 pasta dishes and 3 pizzas.. the pizzas (especially the mortadella with the pistachio pesto) were light,...More

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by
an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city.
The historic center is characterized by the immensity
of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the
brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does
not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni
Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is
enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city

I realize this question is months old, but if anyone is wondering....this is an excellent place for older children. It is not casual, so be sure your children are able to handle a meal in a nice restaurant, but they were... More
