This was such a great restaurant, totally stumbled upon by accident, really authentic cuisine with excellent service. We went 2 nights in a row it really was that good, a must visit when in Florence.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant, which we otherwise would not have found. It is located in an alley near the Palazzo Vecchio. A great restaurant and great value. The food is wonderful Tuscan cuisine. Delicious and reasonably priced.

This is an unassuming restaurant with delicious food hidden down an alleyway in Florence. We were on our way to a concert and my son found this restaurant on an app on his phone as being on the way so we tried it. We are glad we did. We sat outside in a cozy area and enjoyed the quiet ambiance... More

Out of the tourist area is a small street. This is a hidden gem. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. Price was inexpensive.

Nice choice here..Had a risotto for starter and we also had a spicy sausage penne. Salt cod and slow cooked beef for mains. Large portions and tasty. Friendly staff. Drank the house red which was fine. We chose this place as it was open late (we ate at 10.30ish) and it was a cosy basement place off one of the... More

husband and I were looking for something else close to our apartment we had done all the recommended ones so thought we would surprise ourselves... And we did. This spot is curious and not appearing as 5 star or amazingly well patronised but we thought we would give it a go. Thankfully we did. This is a little understated quiet... More

I just came from yet another nice dinner at Buca Poldo. I opened Trip Advisor to write a review and saw the one I posted in 2014. Every word still holds true. Authentic Tuscan food right neat the Uffizzi, Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Vecchio. A better value than most restaurants in the area. I'm very glad for all the good... More

Superb food! The 4 of us each ordered something different, + calamari for the table. The risotto was killer, as was the calamari!! Pasta to die for, and the location was great after "doing the culture thing" and walking all about. Good service, and though crowded, it didn't seem to bog down. Go!!!

When we first arrived we were ushered downstairs to a large room which we initially had all to ourselves. This lasted for about 5 minutes until a large tour group arrived. Soon the place was packed. Our appetizer and pastas as well as the wine and desert were all very good . And even though the place was packed the... More

We were directed to this little restaurant by David, a young waiter, we met as we were looking lost. It is hidden away down an alley near Piazza della Signoria and it proved to be great spot for dinner. I had a salad and boar stew, which was very good, and my wife had the seafood soup, which was excellent... More
