Best cheese and wine place we have found even after returning after 6 years and still as good. Wine is perfection too. Really cute little place down a back Kane. It's worth looking for

We had a delightful dinner, consisting of a shared cheese plate entrée, for mains - wild boar and ravioli. The food was superb. The wine was on the expensive side, with the wine bottles on display, which is an excellent idea. Price tags are affixed to each bottle. Unfortunately, the price shown is the take away price - to enjoy... More

A 2 minute walking distance from Hotel Gallery in Ponte Vecchio, this restaurant has a truffle menu as well. The few things vegetarian that we ate were extremely good. They also sell good wine. Transport it if you wish. A must go to Cafe

It was our first night in Florence and we were still fighting jet lag. This place was serving antipasti and appetizers, though the full kitchen didn't open for a bit. Trust me, what they were serving was plenty of food for two hungry people. We had bruschetta and buffalo mozzarella along with a couple of the wine's by the glass.... More

Slightly off the beaten path, and yet two steps away from Pontevecchio and the main street that parallels the river. Sit amongst the bottles in this cozy, quaint place. It's a quiet respite from the busy tourist filled streets and restaurants nearby. It was also a welcome alternative to all the steak "fiorentina". Make sure Elisa takes care of you.... More

I was staying at the Hotel Berchielli and the guy at the reception desk recommended this restaurant when I asked about the restaurants in the area. I had a fantastic meal of fresh made ravioli and steak with white truffles. It was the best steak I have ever had, Grilled just right with a little dash of salt and a... More

Meeting friends in Florence, first time for all of us, they found this place on their walk about. All four of us were delighted by the food and service. Great advice on wine as palates very different and they found us a great compromise. Went to a very highly recommended restaurant with 5 Tripadvisor Stars and it did not come... More

While taking a walk on a narrow side street pass the Ponto vecchio in Florence, we found this lovely wine bar . We had a lovely appetitivo with some fantastic wine. The place is very charming, cosy and the staffs were very friendly and professional. The a la carte menu looks very tempting . There is a whole page dedicated... More

nestled in on this narrow street you find this gem! quaint neighborhood feel with fresh dishes to choose from. Just steps from Hotel Berchielli you can grab a bite without travelling far. 6 of us went and the staff was friendly and helpful. They also allowed us to split our bill between the 3 couples. Neat little wine cellar below... More

Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
