My wife led me here. I fell in love with the Gelateria immediately after the first bite! You can never find the same.

First of all, I had to make a TripAdvisor account just for this review - that's how bad it was. Yes, this is a touristy spot because the line was out the door filled with tourists. We walk in, I don't see/know all of the flavors so I asked the waiter if they had Stracciatella because that is all I... More

The gelato here is fresh and delicious. New flavors every day. The prices are excellent. If you want quality gelato, this is one of the best in Florence.

This is a small shop with many flavors run by a very friendly gentleman. 1 euro per scoop for really great flavors. A small piazza is located outside the door for a great place to sit away from crowds. Worth a walk if necessary.

First off, the server was across the plaza, smoking a cigarette and chatting away with the people inside a bar, and did not seem to care about unlocking the door for the people congregating outside. That should have been my first clue to leave. Next, I did not notice her wash her hands from smoking before she served us. Ick!... More

Had amazing ice cream, nothing more to say. Try pistachio, coffee or lemon and sit down in the square just next to the shop

This place is a gem amongst Florence's many gelaterie. Teeny tiny, sure, but the gelato is unbelievably delicious. They rotate flavors and base many of them on the fruits that are in season. Once strawberries are growing in spring, try the fragola gelato, it is unbelievably delicious. The same can be said for all the flavors, fragola just happens to... More

We tried the pistachio taste and it was fabulous, one of the best we ever had!! The place is small and cute, in a lovely little square in the centre of the Oltrarno area of town.

Perfect gelati. Fig was so fresh the seeds popped in your mouth, the pink grapefruit was amazing, and the clementine and passionfruit were two of the best gelato we have ever had.

A stone's throw from the Ponte Vecchio, this gelateria opened up 1 month ago serves the perfect mint ice cream. The fior de panna (cream) and fresh mint leaves is nothing like your standard neon green industrial strength flavored mint ice creams. We went back (and again) to taste this hand crafted sublime delight.

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
