Traditional Tuscan cooking features lot as of pasta and meat, with veggies (except beans and potatoes) an afterthought. Il Desco is a wonderful contrast to this pattern. Yes, it does excellent pasta and meat (terrific boar stew and stuffed rolled chicken...called rooster on the menu),...More

The food, the service, the ambience was amazing. I'm still drooling over the lasagna that was so beautifully prepared for us. My boyfriend typically scarfs down his meals in two minutes and thinks nothing of it. He savored every bite. The wine selections were fantastic...More

Visited mid afternoon for a cheese & meat platter and a glass of wine. The only reason Il Desco got on my radar is because they were mentioned in the Michelin guide. The front bistro is quite small, but has an interesting menu and a...More

This place is small, features organic produce (the olive oil from the owner's estate I believe), lots of local wines. Okay, I've eaten in lots of farm-to-fork restaurants--but this is the best I've ever had. So many elegant touches--an appetizer with an Italian equivalent of...More

Celestial pumpkin flans, super artichoke carpaccios and good chat with the owners. This place is great, not for ignorant tourists.

We ate here our last night in Florence as this restaurant was attached to our hotel. It's small and cozy with very friendly staff. The food was fresh and fabulous. The menu changes so it could be different when you're there. We enjoyed the baked...More

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by

The historic center is characterized by the immensity

Description
We are located in the historic center of Florence, between Piazza del Duomo and San Marco and we offer a simple and tasty cuisine, made with the freshest ingredients of the highest quality. We owned a small farm in Reggello that provides us vegetables, fruit and extra virgin olive oil certified organic by ICEA. For this reason our menu is seasonal and changes every three months according to the production of the garden. The focus is on offer vegetarian dishes and great attention is paid to the Gluten Free offer, almost everything on the menu is suitable for people with celiac disease! Limited offer of meat, but always available in most traditional recipes:)
