Don't walk away when you see this place, because it makes great sandwiches. The bread is fresh, the meat and cheese freshly cut in front of you, fresh homemade spreads, delicious and very inexpensive. It sells wine and lots of necessities for cooking including olive oils, sauces etc. But you are going down an empty ally to get there and... More

We skipped the massive line-ups for sandwiches 2 blocks over and found this. Fresh, delicious, fast.

We've been here twice in two days for lunch and both times were quick, cheap, and insanely delicious. Their sandwiches are on the best focaccia I've ever had, and everything is packed full of flavor. Two sandwiches and two bottles of water was $11. The staff is super sweet and helpful, too!

Our family stopped by this little cozy place for lunch. Their sandwiches are delicious. The drinks are affordable (2 euro for a big bottle of sparkling water). There is also a clean washroom. We all enjoyed it very much. Highly recommended.

This place is small, with food made or meat and cheese sliced to order with a total of 6 stools. It looks magical and nearly felt better that. We had a large platter of sliced local meats and cheeses and a glass of Chianti for less than €20. It was great value and tasted superb. A great place for a... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
