I am traveling Italy with my friend and we have been here for three weeks now in Rome and Florence. We have been waiting for that meal that made us dream about it that night. Well, we finally found it in this restaurant! Literally everything we had was spectacular. After our pasta dishes, we didn't think it could get any... More

Simply wow. The guys were able to deliver at lightning speed tasty well cooked pizzas at some more than reasonable prices. So good in fact, that I ate there twice in 4 nights!!

We were staying nearby and the restaurant was recommended by our hosts. The food on the first evening was so good and well priced, that we returned the following night. A welcoming atmosphere, well patronised by locals who were greeted like long lost, much loved family members (and us, too, on night two!). A highlight of our holiday. Oh and... More

Ate at this restaurant twice very popular with local people but managed to get in without booking for 4 people.Proper fresh ingredients used on the pizza the waitress explained the menu in English.Situated in a quite street away from the hustle and bustle of the centre of Florence

We visited this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. Walking in from the street, we expected a small local ristorante until we were shown through the restaurant into the back area, entering a great outdoor setting. The food was delicious, we ordered a thinly crusted Margherita pizza (yummy) as a shared entree with our drinks, then had a scrumptious Lombatine al... More

Visited La Porta Verde during our stay in Florence. The food was great We ordered pizza and tortellini both were flavorful and reasonably priced. We both also had the tiramisu for dessert it was delicious. The service was quick and the atmosphere was friendly. It was clear this is where the locals come. Would highly recommend.

This is a very informal locals hang out. Felt like the only English people who had ever been here but in a good way. The pizza was outstanding. Can see the kitchen and chef the whole time but lots of places do this. Most don't do pizza this good. Very fresh. Do you know how in some places, no matter... More

Mostly local people visit this small restaurant - and that tells everything. They serv typical Italian food from pasta to pizza. We ate here 4 times and the food was excellent every time. It is definitely not a gourmet place, but if you are hungry, you will be more than satisfied.
