We are vegetarians and this place has good number of vegetarian options, with options to even customize the meal. And the interiors are very nice done, gives that rustic look! Highly recommended!

The menu has all the usual staples you find in Florence restaurants and the meals are good enough but lack any sort of wow factor. Prices are fair and service was fine. It was very handy to where I was staying but I wouldn't have walked any distance for it as there are so many better options in Florence.

Really, I wanted penne con salmone, a dish I had first experienced with my wife about 30 years previously in Florence. I remember it as being fresh and light with fakes of salmon with a few mushrooms, garlic, and some parsley. It was on the menu at da i matti, so I ordered it, but I ordered it with truffles.... After our first tour we headed to Via Borge San Lorenzo. It is loaded with restaurants. Lots of folks going in this place, which to me was a good sign. We were seated quickly and ordered a delicious meal and some wine. We sat near the back so there was less noise. The waiter was friendly and helpful. The place... More

Pros: Starter was really great. We had the tuscan ham with melon and the bread with liver pate. Delicious. Cons: The main dishes were not as great. The seafood spaghetti was average. Quite salty. The t bone steak asked for medium cooked but came rare inside. So asked to be further cooked and the inside was still rare so didn't... More

First - via Borgo San Lorenzo is the street to when you are hungry. We ran into this restaurant accidentally (normally we ask locals for an advice on good eateries). They serve a good house wine; we had very good pasta. One of places who replaced coperto surcharge with mandatory 10% gratitude added to the bill. Recommend

We found this restaurant the second night we were in Florence. It was so good that we had dinner there the next three nights. The menu is amazing, the quality of food very high and the staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful.

I thought finding a bad place to eat was impossible. I had the Seafood risotto it wasn't creamy and more raw and I've had my fair share of risotto. The waiter spent more time flirting with the two girls behind us that he messed up my son's order. I had to tell the manager. He did try to make the... More

This place is always crowded. A good sign. They are open all day long . The menu changes often. Service is quick and attentive,The roasted chicken was excellent. The vegetable soup was closer to a purée but also very good. Matti Resaurant is popular with locals and tourists alike with good quality and affordable meals. A real treat.

Thank salvo d
