Fresh ingredients only gelato. There are fillers or additives. Leaves a clean fresh taste in the mouth. This is our favorite gelato ever.

Me and my wife went to Firenze last year and I must have gone into this place 5 times to get a pistachio gelato, best in town (And we did try all other places ranked above this one on TA, so we know what we are talking about). Highly recommended!

Delicious gelato made in house at this cute, little, centrally located shop. This felt more authentic than some of the other gelato places we ate at.

We had lots of gelato in Florence but this was by far the best! Dark chocolate and coffee crisp Torte Sacher and milk So so good and very reasonably priced at €2.50 per cup.

During my 10 days in Italy I had gelato at least once a day. Our Florence tour guide recommended this place and I'm glad I went. They make their gelato fresh daily and you can definitely taste it! The flavours are genuine and they use fresh ingredients. The service is really great too. I wished I was able to try... More

I went to Perche No the first time I visited Florence in 1974, so when I returned this September and saw that the place was still in business, I went in. I was not disappointed. The ice cream and sherbet are still every bit as good as I remembered them. Some of the gelateria's in Florence have started using emulsifiers... More

I have been to Florence 4 times in the last five years and Perche No is my favorite gelateria in the city. Three years ago I rented an apartment just a few doors down and I was there every day - sometimes a couple times per day! Given its location Perche No is a very popular spot since it's so... More

I was recommended by a local and was not disappointed. I had the pistachio and stracciatella. It is traditionally homemade every morning so very fresh. Do not go to the mound gelato places - not good. They use natural ingredients with no coloring, preservatives or emulsifiers. And no hydrogenated vegetable fats. Just off the main shopping street so nice break.... More

Very good gelato. Lots of classic flavors and some sorbet/fruit versions. The lines will be long because it's very well-known but it goes by very quickly. The staff is nice and patient considering the long lines. Because gelato shops are so popular in Florence/Italy, the only way to really differentiate what's best is to try the unique flavors as the... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
