The only empty restaurant in Livorno on saturday night... and now I know why!! Starters not very good, roasted fish was good... but the price was totally crazy!! For 88€ (2people) I want to eat rather well... that was not the case. Never again.

The restaurant is the most authentic Livorno restaurant. The current owner, the son of the founder a few years older than me and probably in his 70s. He was still in jail last time I went but he gets out periodically and gets the kitchen to cook the food as it should be cooked, His wife runs the place well... More

We were taken here for late Sunday lunch by some friends who live in a small town in Tuscany. As we walked around looking for this place, pretty much at the end of tiny, dead-end street, I couldn't imagine where we were going. But this place is the real deal. Eight of us shared a six course meal -- all... More

Firstly, though I speak and write perfect English, I was born in Livorno in a house on Via Paoli near the center, if not the center, of Livorno. My mother was from Livrono and my father was an American GI based in Livorno after WW 2, that's why I speak both languages as a mother tongue. I have been going... More

We were on a cruise stop in Livorno and decided to spend the day ashore exploring. At a local farmers market, we asked a "local" for a restaurant recommendation. She was meeting her family near our location at this "very nice local restaurant" and invited us to join her. We did not want to crash the family Sunday get together... More

not easy to find, not the typical tourist restaurant, but that's why you should go there. Fresh fish, cooked as you wish. No menu, but let the staff surpise you with some appetisers, primi and a fish. Don't mind the etiquette, just enjoy! Super

It's just the best restaurant in Livorno - have the scampi to start and then move through the incredible selection of fresh fish. It's a family run restaurant and you will be looked after by the beautiful Sandra.
