So many artichokes! We live in Lucca so we don't really like places that are too touristy and this place is near the main anfiteatro so a great location. The restaurant was quiet but still great service and a delicious fresh menu Seems to be...a family run business which makes it that much nicer. A great explanation of all the menu and the choices. Literally so many artichokes in the menu and all delicious. It's seasonal so this could change in the summer obviously! Well worth a visitMore

exceptional friendly stuff, very good, high quality food. maybe not the fastest serving on the earth, so the bored, sour guests may not enjoy it. but anyone else will.

This is our favourite restaurant inside the walls. To celebrate a birthday or event this place is always in our top 5 of options. Pretty inside. Quite modern. Lobster roles!

For as good as italian cuisine may be, variety is the spice of life, and when I'm looking for that in Lucca St. Bartholomeo is the place I go to. The menu offers a wide variety of italian classics with a vibrant spin, from the...fried egg yolk with parmesan cheese and bacon to the truffle sautéed scallops and, my personal favourite, the slow cooked pork cheek. The wine menu offers a variety of excellent products from all over the country, and the bar makes some of the best gin&tonics in town. On sundays the place goes really New Yorker offering a wonderful brunch with great american classics like Eggs Benedict and Peanut Butter Jelly sandwiches accompanied by killer Bloody Marys. The owner and staff are as friendly and professional as they come, and, to top it all off, the prices are really fair. A must when visiting the city.More

Were most restaurants are keen on traditional Italian coking ... not here. They playful mix and match Italian style cooking with different international cuisines (arabic, asian etc). Result: beautifull dishes. Absolute beautifull winelist to accompany the food. Staff is very friendly. Altough they are in...a very old building their decoration is contempary. Really can recommend this one.More

We spent an evening at this restaurant and my expectations were high - reviews were great and it looked fab! However, the waiter forgot my wine twice and seemed really busy flirting with the two tables of ladies in the restaurant. My husband ordered a...second beer, which also never arrived. Food wise, I ordered shrimp roll and French fries and my husband ordered hamburger and fries. Just as well we both like chipsticks as we got a plateful of the things . Shrimp roll seemed to be chopped up crab sticks in Mayo, in a bread roll. We are here for a week - we will not be revisiting St barts!More

Great great food, wine recommendations from the somalier and wonderful outdoor / indoor atmosphere. As for deserts, their greek yoghurt cream with cherry is the best desert i habe ever had - and so different from normal desert menues. The owner an waiter and waitress...are wonderful and made the wonderful experience just perfect.More
