Finally got our pizza fix. Traveled to San Gimignano during off season and this was one of the only places open for lunch. It is a small place with descent food. I wouldn't say it is the best food in Italy but our pizzas were top notch. Made to order, not take away pizza sitting in a display case. Which... More

The food isn't good and small portion even for a little person and charge us two Curpertos without they offer or we ate.

Does not live up to the positive reviews. Our three meals were mediocre, although portions were good. Poor selection of wine that starts at €14 a bottle for a very cheap wine. Will not return.

It seems that the ownership may have changed since we last visited (in April 2015). The portions seem much smaller than previously, with generally same pricing. It still is pleasant, particularly sitting at one of the two tables near the small window overlooking over the Tuscan hillside.

I had very high expectations having read the critiques at trip advisor. The food was ok...I would say not really fresh. I felt that they just want to take my money.

Very good, authentic little restaurant situated immediately outside the main city gate (Porta San Giovanni). Interesting, extensive menu; very reasonable prices; good, freshly prepared, home-cooked food; welcoming, friendly and efficient service from the proprietors. I thought it was a real 'find' in a town as touristy as San Gimignano, where one might expect the sheer weight of visitors to have... More

After reading so many good reviews we decided to try this little restaurant. But on my opinion they rest on theirs' laurels. You can see great opinions on small pieces of paper everywhere on the walls but in reality they should focus on food rather than on advertising. My wife's tagiatelle with pesto was just ok. My pasta with meatballs... More

Great food matched by a beautiful view! If you are lucky enough to get a table looking out the window, you are in for a treat. The Tiramisu was non traditional but delicious!

Don't be put off by the small size of the restaurant. The food is exceptional. Very knowledgeable staff and helpful with suggestions. Food is excellent and home cooked. Have been to almost every restaurant in San Gimignano the past five years and this remains my favourite. Give it a try.

Everything we ordered was delicious. Wild boar stew, salad, pasta (called 'pici') with ragu, half litre of house wine and 2 tiramisus. The best dish was the pici, the noodles had a nice chewy texture like udon which I really liked, and the ragu was really tasty. The wine was 4.50 euro for half a litre, which was really generous....
