We have visited Perugia several times before and a member of our group suggested we skip our traditional location and have lunch at Ristorante I’ll Giurista instead. I am so glad we took her suggestion! In a word the meal, the ambiance and the service...were all divine! The wait staff was friendly and attentive- one even remembered several members of our group from another restaurant we had dined in years before. The wine list was extensive and filled with many of the local wines. Truly something for everyone. The wine glasses were equally intriguing. I encourage you to get a glass of limoncello to close your meal. The food was spectacular. Every member of our group of 12 was thrilled with their selections. The potion sizes were perfect. Enough to satisfy and provide that extra bite to share. Everyone walked away raving - we’d give it 10 stars if we could!More

From the moment we walked in we knew that it was a special restaurant. The location is stunning in a medieval cellar decorated with period pieces and wine bottles. The staff is attentive and well trained. The guests were primarily Italian but the staff waiters...spoke good English. The menu had English translations that were not the usual Google-translate. Amazing and well priced wine list along with good help navigating it. The food was spectacular and we were impressed how it was split between us when we shared a dish. Much better than passing the plates around. The menu was truffle centric and well balanced. Our best gastronomic experience in Perugia!More

I can't say enough about Il Giurista. From the moment you descend the stairs from the street to the where the restaurant sits below, it's just magical :). Warm, genuine hospitality, incredible food, great prices, and a lovely atmosphere. Service was impeccable, (and we were...a large group of 13!) What a fantastic experience! Thank you, Renato and team!More

Hooray…at last - proper Italian food. After being very disappointed with the food in Perugia, we were overjoyed to find this restaurant on our last night here. Fabulous waiters and maitre d. Fabulous ambiance and most importantly- fabulous food!!! Everything was perfect. It was great...to find a restaurant happy to fit us in, and even better to find staff who were knowledgeable. The cheese soufflé is to absolutely die for…best…..EVER!!!!More

We went for lunch today and honestly could not recommend this restaurant more highly. From the wines to the cheese soufflé everything about our meal was amazing and the experience was wonderful. All the staff were so kind and really helpful. If you are going...to Perugia I would honestly say you are missing out if you don’t try this place.More

We visited this restaurant today and it was outstanding. The food - divine, service and setting perfect! It’s a must for anyone visiting Perugia who wants a high quality meal. The menu was varied and food quality high, the cheese soufflé was delightful. The decor...is lovely and in a very central area. By far this is the best restaurant meal we’ve had during our stay in Italy.More

I had lunch at Il Giurista and both the food and the service were above and beyond the other restaurants I visited in Umbria. The quality of the food is fantastic - they deserve at least a Michelin star and staff was very friendly and...extremely attentive. The teams goes way and beyond what you can expect in great and cosy surroundings. Very happy to come back!More

Best meal in Perugia. We ordered way to much food, two dishes pp is enough unless you are really hungry.

During our visit in Perugia we stopped to have lunch at IL GIURISTA and we really appreciated our break in this restaurant located in an elegantly decorated vaulted cellar. Warm welcome and efficient service, excellent food made with delicious Umbrian products out of the season....Considerate waiters, our waiter could also speak our language, French. I highly recommend this restaurant located Via Bartolo, 30 (06122 Perugia), a side street off Piazza IV NovembreMore
