Had dinner here. French onion soup followed by veal strips in a cream sauce with rosti. Washed down with a (large) glass of the Christmas special beer. Food was good solid fare and quite reasonably priced. Clearly freshly made. The beer was excellent. Service was...More
My husband and I were lucky to get a table here without a reservation. We loved the warm, cozy, and welcoming atmosphere. I had salmon and it was delicious. My husband had grilled shrimp- he travels to Switzerland regularly on business and said this was...More
The cuisine doesn't disapoint, interesting typical Swiss-style dishes but prepared to please the great public - from locals to all sorts of tourists - balance between swiss identity versus tourist oriented is perfect. Environment is charming, a bit too warm inside but really pleasant area....More
We sat upstairs in a lovely wood-panelled room. Both mains, veal cordon bleu and wiener schnitzel, were flavourful as were the accompanying fries and vegetables. A dessert of cream brûlée with lemon gelato was refreshing. The restaurant would be rated 4.5 if we could give...More
Very typical location, Swiss food but with accessible price. The staff is friendly and familiar. I love their "schnitzel", big, soft and tasty!
They have menus in english, just ask. Beef with garlic sauce was excellent. Rosti with vegetables and mushroom sauce was excellent. Atmosphere both inside and out was excellent.
This was a very authentic Swiss restaurant in the old part of town. They offered unique items such as "Fake" Escargots made of beef. These were outstanding and the prices were fair.
