Right in the heart of the Old Town, with a great view of the street. Sit outside and feel the ambience of the unique cloisters that line both sides of the street, coupled with the entrances to the cellars.

An old-fashioned restaurant in the heart of Bern was a great place for a break from exploring the Altstadt. Excellent value set menus with a seasonal twist, including fresh asparagus. I had the Gitzi special, deliciously slow-cooked with plenty of potatoes and vegetables. Very healthy sized portions. We were surrounded by local business people lunching and the service was good.... I was honestly disappointed, the service is not very attentive and kept ignoring us. Also the side dishes weren't done with love, obviously the meat was good but the rest was below average.

If you are hungry after the walk through the city of Bern, and want an excellent lunch, that's the place. The restaurant looks fancy from outside, but their prices and menu are not, they are great. Choose from one of their lunch special and you wont be disappointed. It's delicious. I definitively would eat there when I'll be back in... More

The five of us had dinner at this warm traditional Bernese restaurant in the centre of Bern one evening in June. My niece and I each had the raclette, our first in Switzerland ( although our Bernese friend has made it a number of times for us at our home in Canada). The other three had the perch filet with... I was recently in this restaurant, had an apero there, a salad as starter, great main dish (breaded meat with cheese inside) french fries and fresh vegetables. The dessert was a delicious homemade plum cake served with ice cream. They even have two cars to directly choose several spirits! The food was fresh, homemade and delicious! Further, the service was... More

We had whole perch & Sausage with Potato soup which was very good. I also had mulled wine (Gluhwein) which was also very comforting in the cold weather. Excellent set menu options for the winter season with excellent service. Would definitely recommend this place.

We came to Bern to try fondue to celebrate my daughter 's bday. Since it was a special day we slept in and arrived in Bern at 2pm. We quickly found out all Bern restaurant kitchens close between 2 pm and 6pm. They are open for drinks but you cannot order from the menu. Our saving grace was Zunft Zu... More

Came here two times for lunch, very well priced menu. 23 chf for a soup and a horse steak with fries and veggies. Amazing quality and value!

I was in Switzerland and keen to try a cheese fondue as I had seen it advertised outside a number of restaurants so finally decided to go for it in this central Bern restaurant, as I noticed an alcohol free option on the menu outside. The restaurant has a number of tables outside, which is where I was seated, although... More
