Tiny restaurant in the heart of Neuchatel. Delicious Israeli food for average price (for Neuchatel.....). The owner could be a little bit more nice with the staff...The poor young lady got yelled at twice in front of customers...once because I had to ask her for more bread....I never felt so embarrassed in a restaurant ever..... Shame because quality of food... More

On a girlfriends dinner, we're booked a table in that Israeli restaurant... I was quite curious about the food. But the staff was really unfriendly, very slow and rude, not taking our order or even asking if we wanted to drink something. In brief, we left after having waited for about 30 minutes... I don't recommand the place at all!

If the place looks a bit shabby from the outside (Probably I would have not entered if friends have not recommended it), the food is excellent!! I especially recommend the falafels, oriental salad and melouah. Prices are reasonable for Switzerland. A must in Neuchâtel!

Tiny little place in the center of town but with a very friendly staff and delicious falafels! Has a very simple but delicious menu! You can order to take away too!

I don't speak French but the staff were helpful and friendly in English and it was not a bother for them to explain the menu to me. The food was genuine middle eastern cuisine except that L'Ami Ami is spotless. What a pleasure to eat in a place that they don't do you a favour by serving you.

We visited here on two occaisions during our stay in Neuchatel. My wife is vegan, so it is not easy to find good interesting food. The falafels, humous, smoked aubergine and spicy tomato platter was very tasty, served with fluffy pitta bread. The staff were very friendly and well informed. I would definately recommend this restaurant.

It was one of the first restaurants in town I discovered many years ago and I have been there countless times with family, friends or alone. The levantine / or Israeli type of food is IMO the best in town -- from various dips, salads, falafel, sandwiches or grilled meat -- and everything is housemade (not industrial), thus sometimes taking... I love Israeli cuisine so I am a bit biased when it comes to this place. But honestly, they do the best aubergine dip, falafel and hummus in town. There are vegan and gluten free options. The food is very tasty, most meals come with an amazing oriental salad. Great place for a quick lunch or a nice dinner.

I went to L'ami ami for dinner. From the first moment when the chef opened me the door I felt warm welcomed. Later on when the food was served my thougts have been confirmed. Really delicious mediterian food at reasonable prices in the center of neuchatel. If u looking for something "special" then go there!!
