Just had a beer in a place that looks like a alcoholic's joint ... price of beer is double than other places ! Can't imagine the price of a dinner !!!
I went there with a friend for lunch. We ate on the cafe side. The place also has a more formal restaurant side. On the good side, the location is just a few steps away south of the station, the service is prompt and friendly....More
typical and rather tasty swiss caffe. if you are a bit late in the evening, but still hungry, you can ask hostess and the Chef will prepare you all that you want!
The café is just behind the railway station. The menu is not very varied but the various rosti's were all delicious and reasonably priced. The meringue with ice cream was the highlight of the dessert menu.
Restaurants like Café de l'Europe tend to disappear, small, typical, local food, local wines, no music, clean, friendly atmosphere, good pricing. I go there often with friends and always had a great time!
