You can eat cheese fondue, raclette or some meat dishes. For raclette you have plate like drawbridge. When cheese becomes fluid, pour it on boiled potato. Be careful, it is very substantial! My choice - Chinese fondue, fresh meat to put in broth. For my opinion it is not Chinese, more japanese, similar like syabu syabu. Anyway it is good... More

One of the many places in Zurich where to have fondues and raclettes. The outside decorations leave no doubt as to what you will find inside... Went with the team from work for a New Year team dinner to kick-off 2017 on the right foot. We ate in the cellar, two or three levels down. The place has been decorated... More

We had a very nice meal here. Yes, you smell the cheese when you walk in. But it's a fondue restaurant. Expect that. You stop noticing it. Portions of fondue are very large. Others have noted that they have an extra charge for sharing. We ordered one portion fondue and one sausage entree and shared both. That worked out really... More

It was recomended as one of the best fondue restaurants in zurich. Ok, when you just get inside the restaurant the cheese smell is so strong that you might loose conscious. Im not a fondue expert but i guess it was a good one. Prices are extremely high as in all Zurich. The issue is that if you are 7... More

Something different. Wanted to try something typical Swiss I would do this again. Tables are close together and it's loud in there but it was still enjoyable.

Had cheese fondue. Would probably recommend sharing dishes here as my partner and I shared cheese fondue and all the cheese got a bit much by the end of the meal. Sounds obvious I guess, but we both wanted fondue at the time! Still quality food and service though. You will find alot of activities and restaurants excessively expensive in... More

Went with a big group for fondue and thoroughly enjoyed it all. Such a social way to enjoy an evening. Service is attentive and helpful to explain all your fondue 'do's and don'ts". They brew their own beer which is delicious too. I'd go back.

Our group of 4 arrived without a reservation but they were able to fit us in. Two of us ordered fondue, one had raclette and another bratwurst. We all enjoyed our meals very much and the service was good. Yes, it's a little noisy but that didn't interfere with our enjoyment. Definitely recommend if you want tradition Swiss food; probably... I just had the absolute worst experience at Walliser Keller. For our last night in Zürich my family wanted to have a fun night so we picked Walliser Keller Restruant... we made reservations and arrived on time. The server took our drink orders and brought them out in a timely fashion, then took our food order. She brought out the... More

This is a Keller or cellar design and it's architecture is handsome with vaulted ceilings and interesting applied designs. But there are no soft surfaces in the room so hearing over the din of others talking loudly in order to be heard makes the dining a bit tedious. The fondue is excellent and the salad, pre dressed with a yogurt... More

Dear E.E. Thank you so much for your very nice review! I do have to apologize that it was a bit noise - however most full restaurants, especially Brasserie Style like we are - are a bit noise. Description
To us, "Swiss Alpine cuisine" means bringing a portion of the "Swiss mountains" to you at lunchtime or in the evening. The rustic cellar vault brings to mind a typical wine cellar in the vineyards of the Valais. We put the aroma of the Swiss Alps on your plates.

The original cheese fondue comes to you in eight different variations, as dictated by Valais tastes. And when your meat is brought to you on a hot stone, you know it will be cooked exactly as you want it.

Of course, our menu also includes the classics; "Bauernbratwurst" sausage with onion sauce, veal Cordon Bleu with herbed French fries, and – naturally – Zurich "Geschnetzeltes" (stir-fried veal) served with rosti.

In summer, we also serve all these delights on our delightful terrace beside the pedestrian zone. Have we whetted your appetite? We look forward to seeing you!
