Amazing restaurant we only found due to TA! Slightly out of the old town but an easy tram ride (we walked). Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, awesome pizza, and the best lasagne we have ever had. Highly recommend if looking for a reasonably priced Italian...meal (which is hard to find in Zurich)!More

We eat at Scala all the time. The Pizza is the best we have found in Zurich, the pasta is homemade and the beer is cold. Service is friendly and the place is always full. Make a reservation if you are going during peak dining...hours! Enjoy!More

Scala has now become our first stop when traveling to Zurich as it is a short distance from our hotel and we are normally tired when we arrive. We have learned to make a reservation as this place is extremely busy with locals that love...it. We arrived and the little restaurant was already packed. Our little table was reserved thank goodness. Our server arrived and was delightful. We ordered the diablo pizza with capers and an arugula salad. We asked that they arrive at the same time and they did. Sometimes we like the arugula on the pizza itself. The pizza was perfect and the arugula had some of the best taste we have had. Wine and cocktails were great. Service could not have been better. Highly recommend. And also highly recommend calling ahead for a reservation. Prices are a bit high but remember you are in Zurich!!!More

We had our lunch in this restaurant yesterday and enjoyed it!!! I took the men which included a mixed salad and a saltinbocca with risotto and carrots whilst my wife ordered a pizza. Friendly waitresses and pretty fast service were an additional plus for this...pleasant venue. Shall return for more crispy pizza, a really gorgeos PIZZA!!!!More

When you stand on this huge, noisy, polluted crossroads in the middle of Zurich, you wouldn't think that there is a restaurant right at the corner in which you can enjoy pizza and quiet (as quiet as an Italian restaurant can be, however). The set...meal for lunch leaves usually four choices one of which is a pizza with either soup or salad. I had the former followed by a very tasty pizza - better dough cannot be found outside of Italy! Drinks were a bit too expensive for my taste, but quite normal for Zurich standards...More

Great Pizza! Handmade, from scratch. Good service, too. We eat here probably once a month. If pizza weren't fattening, we would make it once a week...have them toss some fresh arugula on top and ask for the garlic oil (won't come unless you request it)...Make a reservation on the weekend! If you want to sit outside, there is a sister restaurant a block away, La Casa. You can order a smaller version of the pizza for a few francs less, but hey... it's pizza. They serve all kinds of homemade pastas in lots of ways, but I can't get past the pizza...More

I am living next door from La Casa which run by the wife of Scala, and I really like it. I came to Scala because it was Monday and it was closed, and I am very happy to discover it. Very similar menu, more simple...decoration, very friendly people and food is excellent, not only pizza but also pasta and I tried grilled salmon fillet which were excellent and a very generous portion.More

Zürich has a lot of good Italian restaurants due to many Italian immigrants. Scala however is in my opinion the best, consistent quality, friendly owner and staff. Great thin pizza real Italian style oval served on a wooden plate. No need to ask for peperoncini...oil, it is served and is homemade and fresh. Scala is close to the train station, 10 min, easily reached by tram 11, 14,15. Make sure to reserve most of the times full.More

We had dinner at this place with some friends. The pizzas were very tasty. Some friends had meat dishes and they were also very happy with the quality. The serving sizes are very good and more than enough. The proves were fair for swiss standards....It was quite full, so dont forget to book a table in advance.More
