Beautiful food on the Thursday - Saturday fusion nights. Can't fault it, and so cheap. I ate here on my own which is unusual, and the staff got everything spot on.

Good cheesecake and apple cake. The fresh juices are delicious and super healthy. Great vibe here amongst the 70's lamps. The chorizo sandwich is also yummy on think German style bread.

This is a quirky busy cafe with tasty although limited menu choices. The service is friendly and good value. It is especially suitable for vegetarians/vegans. We visited twice on our recent Amsterdam trip and enjoyed both times.

I just fell into this place while wondering and looking for a quick late night dinner and it hit the spot. Original unique recipes that are quite tasty. Quick friendly service.

Perfect mellow place to stop and have a coffee & fight jet lag in Chinatown/RLD. I liked the creamy-milkiness of their latte but other people might find it too milky.

Visited this place today with my dad and my sister, totally loved it. Very kind and nice waitresses. The interior looks like you're in a casual house. I ordered a cheesecake and a ginger beer, couldn't get a better combination. Come here when you get a chance.

This was such a cute little gem. A very reminiscent of an independent cafe one would stroll into in Shoreditch, London. Its interiors are full of quirks and even its upstairs area, I recommend choosing a table here, along with its small cosy staircase are quite lovely. I found this place randomly on a website whilst I was googling for... More

Chunky apple pie with good pastry alongside a cup of coffee is the main reason to go here; the place itself is quite nondescript in appearance but small, friendly and non-commercial

Its like being in a vintage light and crockery shop, except they serve food and drinks too. Cutesy and hip, this is a nice little place without the tourist crowds.

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
