We weren't expecting to dine on just the tapas, but after hearing the descriptions of all the ones they had available, we quickly decided we wanted to try as many as possible. We really enjoyed eating here, thought the concept of the restaurant was very creative and the food was excellent!

Fantastic food, from tapas to desserts. Some of the desserts were Italian, so we would have liked it if they had some Italian red wines as well. Other than that we don't have any complaints. Highly recommended.

Had a pleasant evening with people that understand consultants (road warriors) needs: Coffee, powe supply, quite corner, no questions! And THEN: absolutely lovely red wines and excellent food (some variationno of tapas, just bigger and very good!)

It seems a shame to eat the tapas, which look like little works of art, but they are delicious so eat them we did! We saw La Oliva while wandering around the beautiful Jordaan area one night, but had to make a booking for the following night to eat here as it’s very popular with locals and tourists alike and... We just needed a late afternoon rest and a quick bite. Their sign touted their apple pie. Well, you can be assured that they do not disappoint. We have coffees and apple pie like none I have ever had. Chocked full of apples, loaded with delicious and you might not want dinner later. If their meals are as good as... More

We ate at the bar. It was nothing short of inspirational to see the crew at work as a team. They didn't miss a beat and the Spanish cook ruled the kitchen as his backyard. The bartenders laughed and were punctual and precise. They all checked in with us and with each other and it made is feel like there... More

Superb pintxos and good wine. Calm atmosphere, elegant yet simple interior and straightforward menu. A bit pricey.

We stopped here for a quick lunch while walking through the Jordaan neighborhood. My wife's salad and my Iberian ham was delicious and made the perfect light lunch. We sat outside where they have cafe tables on two sides of this corner location. The inside dining area was fairly large by European standards. Inside they had a limited choice of... More

The place is young, modern, energetic. Staff is fun, young, caring. But let's not talk about food please. Other than olives and patanegra ham, the rest has just not anything to do with good spanish food. Pintxos in particular were not fresh. Overall is not worth the money you pay

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
