Called in for breakfast and to escape the rain. The food was served quickly and with a smile. The prices are not too bad either considering where it is!

We went on Easter Monday. Unfortunately, the restaurant ran out of mussels and fish-of-the-day. They explained that these were obtained fresh from the market and, with 4 days of holidays, they ran out. This was a little disappointing. Otherwise, the food was excellent and service was good. The pork belly was in particular recommended.

We had lunch which was enough for four, not just two. Crowded off track place with really friendly staff. Turkey sandwich and a mushroom soup is my recommendation and my hubby can vouch for the very thick burger. We would come back!

We stumbled across this when shopping and vowed to return later in the day for dinner. How glad we were that we found it. It is quite small but has a great friendly atmosphere and fabulous food. We were keen to try something traditional so went for the stumpot, traditionally cooked meat with vegetables and sauerkraut. The meat was rich... More

We were there but didn't get served. Two waiters did see us but chose not to talk to us until we asked for a table for two. They said the restaurant has no table for two "at the moment", but there were around five empty tables in the restaurant at that time and they were closing at 10pm, which I... More

My boyfriend and I stumbled across Tomaz's a couple of years ago. Since then, we have visited Amsterdam a few times and have always returned to this restaurant. The food is delicious, the staff are always friendly & it's a lovely place to sit and have a drink. We will be back!

My boyfriend and I went to Tomaz for lunch based on the good reviews. We were not disappointed. We shared orders of bitterballen and frites as they checked off several of our "must-have" foods in Amsterdam. We also got an order of chicken wings just because. The wings were good and the bitterballen and fries were both excellent. We washed... More

We went to Tomaz based on another article detailing the best stamppot in Amsterdam, and we definitely weren't disappointed! We ordered the stamppot with smoked pork belly and sauerkraut mashed potatoes. The gravy was well spiced and very tasty, the mashed potatoes creamy and the smoked pork nicely roasted and flavoured. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, and there are... More
