We were so happy to find this place after a long day of travelling. We were seated right away and had a lovely dining experience. The menu is innovative and vegetable based. My partner had a delicious jerusalem artichoke souffle with a tomato coulis and...More

Nice cozy place with decent vegetarian food. The variety is limited with preset main courses so would recommend you check the menu once before you go. If you are looking for variety, won’t recommend going here.

Went for dinner with my wife. Tried a few different starters, the same main and different desserts. Everything was well prepared and tasty. Service was really good, friendly and professional. Nice location.

What wonderful food. The range of flavours and textures was awesome. The presentation was elegant and sophisticated. The ambience was refined. And the service was relaxed but attentive. I've been to more than a few veggie restaurants in various European cities, but this one, for...More

This is probably one of the best vegetarian restaurants i have visited any where. We found it quite by chance around the corner from a hotel we had been put in because of double booking. What a lucky disaster! The food was excellent. The staff...More

We were recommended to this vegetarian restaurant by the Hotel Fita (it is run by the brother of the owner) and, although none of us are vegetarians, we were hugely impressed by the exceptional quality of the food. The restaurant itself is small, friendly and...More

Food was inventive and full of flavor. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Located near rijksmuseum but off the beaten path enough where you can still get a table easily enough.

Description
De WAAGHALS (= The Dare-devil) is an attractive vegetarian restaurant. The atmosphere is informal, but the food is refined and creative. Organic ingredients are used as much as possible. Each month a dish focuses on a different country. Our menu changes twice a month. There is a large selection of drinks available, from various sorts of tea and fruit juices to different kinds of beer (including locally brewed ones) and organic wines. The interior is very comfortable and on nice summer evenings you can dine outside. De WAAGHALS is very popular with a growing number of non-vegetarians. It is advisable to book in advance
