Don't get me wrong the food was great, the staff knowledgable and friendly, fast and attentive. When a place comes this highly recommended it has a lot to live up to and so it dissapointed a bit. Both out meat-cuts, the duck and onglet were undercooked and we had not been asked how we wanted ours cooked. The food was... More

We didn't end up eating at this restaurant as there'd been a muddle-up and it turned out there was a private function on at the same time. However the staff were incredible and helped us to find somewhere else to eat and even drove us to the other restaurant. We were really grateful and touched by the hospitality :-)

Daughter had suggested we go out of town to eat here as she'd had a fantastic meal experience. We agreed! Having to wait a while for our main was well worth while once it was explained the food was prepared in batches. What an experience. Guess the waterfront position would be fab in the summertime too. It's possible to get... More

Located in the middle of an industrial estate in an old auto garage next to river but only 40mins from Central Station on 32or33 bus and walk. Ambiance is great and unique with welcoming and helpful staff. Good WiFi too . Menu only in Dutch but waiting staff good to translate. Food excellent although long wait between starter and main... We went here with a big group of around 40 people. The location is passed the Volkswagen dealer on the riverside. In the evening it is quiet a spooky place and it really isn't safe according to many broken car windows that happen there... The place is not very clean. For the warm atmosphere they thought it would be a... More

The north of Amsterdam is a traditionally industrial area of Amsterdam, left by many tourists. But over the years it has developed into a trendy part. This restaurant serves as an example of just that. Dining out in an industrial looking establishment, with a good view over the IJ, busy with ferries and other boats. It is bright with high... More

Visited this restaurant twice, and it's just amazing. They still had a spot available, at very short notice. Staff is very friendly and polite, humoristic and clearly aimed at making your dinner succesful. The food is great. Nice portions, enough options and very lovely decorated. The industrial setting is special, and still cozy, and would alone be a reason to... More

Eat at this restaurant every time I'm in Amsterdam. Food is top notch, setting is unique - an old car workshop with loads of equipment still intact. Easiest way there is in an Uber as it's in an industrial area but totally worth the ride. Sunday roast is always good, hemelsemodder dessert is so delicious. 3 courses, fixed price, never... More

I wanted fish. I knew I wanted to be surprised and seduced by the preparation of the fish. it was because I read so many excellent reviews, that I decided to try Goudfazant myself. And I am enthousiastic. Because the delicious preparation of my fish with local, seasonal vegetables showed an elegance in pairing. Fletan and celeri rave fondu en... More

You rock up at a converted warehouse with tablecloths and plastic chairs, the definition of shabby chic. The food, service and selection of food was delicious in every way, especially the weird experience of eating sweet potato ice cream and olive oil cake. A great first night to an amazing weekend in Amsterdam! If you want a proper local experience... More
