Omelette will fill you up well into lunchtime. Small place, not a lot of seats inside. Outdoor seating by the canals.

We ordered take-away lunch here as it was right next to our hotel and all the outdoor cafe tables were taken. The food was excellent and we were not alone in thinking so as it was absolutely packed every day!

This decently looking small place serves the best breakfast in Amsterdam: very good variety of sandwiches, omlettes and salads at very low prices, for Amsterdam standards. I ate there for 5 times and every time the food was delicious. If you are staying in the area, don't pay a huge price on hotel breakfast, just go to Broodje Bert!

Great service, hearty fresh food. And the kitchen staff are the essence of team work, slick and efficient. And who doesn't love Bert?

Tasty omlettes, fresh salad with light spicy seasoning and excellent coffee, best one we ever tasted in Europe. The dishes are pretty big, so either be very hungry or share. We ate Swiss omlette and hum cheese and bacon omlette, both were excellent

This was a cute little place on a canal. We got sandwiches, but we had to wait awhile as it was so busy - probably 10-15 mins, not horrible. There was absolutely no room to sit inside. The food was great and pretty healthy. A little on the expensive side but worth it for the good food.

Just came upon this place by chance and so glad we did. A lunch stop in the sun. Service was quick and efficient. We had Tuna sandwich and rare beef with old cheese sandwich. Both came with a fantastic salad. Well presented and very good. Nice to sit in the warm March sun and watch the world go by as... More

Sought this place after reading reviews,it didnt disappoint. We had the fried eggs with bacon, which is served with french bread and salad. We also had orange juice and coffee. It kept us going all day. Very small, family run cafe, definatly worth a visit.
