Completely crammed place with almost no space to move. Tables stand so close to each other that you participate in a next table's conversation whether you like it or not. Coffee served was boiling hot and we had to wait ages for the waiter. The staff was also not customer friendly, almost like they don't care if a customer is... More

We had breakfast here twice while staying at Hotel Pulitzer around the corner. It would have been three times but it's closed on Mondays! Visited the cafe for lunch, we ordered some sandwiches and all of them were delicious. Definitely we will visit it again when we are in Amsterdam.

Always good to have lunch at Nielsen. I love the coffee and sweets, but also lunches (dagmenu!) are good.

Parents and 2 teens visited for Lunch in October. Good Eats and some of us ordered a second round as food was very good. Good coffee. Great Apple Pie! Highly recommended!

A standard for years. Good quality ingredients, all meats and dairy products are organic. Great coffees, friendly staff who enjoy working here. Friendly priced. One of those places that you keep coming back to.

This is a brilliant little cafe... menu is simple but very tasty. Food is cooked fresh and the people serving are very friendly. A lovely spot for breakfast or lunch. Oh and for those that care... free WiFi!

Set on a wonderful street in a beautiful building cafe Nielsen is typical of many cafes in Amsterdam. The menu could be straight out of the 80s and the food revolution that has spread throughout the world is yet to reach this cafe. shame their large kitchen does not house a chef sending out more modern food than cream cheese...
