You find here more locals than tourists, and that's usually a good sign. My wife is not Dutch and wanted to try some typical Dutch dishes. As we stay in the neighborhood we wandered this lovely street and ended up here. They have besides the...More

My husband and I, staying near the Damrak, and went in search of traditional Dutch cuisine. (Near the Damrak, it seems like tons of Italian and Argentinian...) So, despite the chill outside, we started walking and stumbled upon this amazing eetcafé. Over 50 years old,...More

This restaurant was close to the apartment we rented so we had dinner one night. The ribs were excellent, the steak was average. Good service. It gets very busy - tourists and local diners when we were here.

Whilst Amsterdam is beautiful, the choice of reasonably priced places to eat seemed repetitive in their menus, and on a hot Friday evening we were struggling to find somewhere that both looked appealing and had a menu with something vaguely healthy. This little cafe came...More

Thnx. See you next time . My regards

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
