Stopped her for a quick snack one afternoon after a day of seeing the city. Enjoyed a couple of pastries and coffee. The space is small with only a couple of tables. Staff is friendly.

Lovely little bakery shop with excellent coffee. Tiny but a few seats for relaxing as you plan your day.

Popped in quite early for coffee. Space isn't that big, fits 12 or so people, but it's very cozy. Friendly staff, coffee was great, as was the hot chocolate. Tasty cookies, all other cakes and pastries on display looked good. Certainly worth a visit.

I want to go back to Amsterdam just to eat one of their Vegan, Gluten Free cookies. We have even tried to recreate them here at home...no success yet. Everything else looked delicious too.

I searched for the Melly's Cookie Bar, because of an article I read in a blog about Amsterdam. It's smaller than I thought, but has good coffee, freshly baked cakes, nice home-made biscuits and tasty fresh sandwiches. My only negative comment is about the canoli. Please change your canoli provider. It was far too sweet, with touch dough and a... More

The chocolate twists are superb, but you need to be there early(ish) to get one - worth the trip to get.

This is a place for getting your order "to go". The seats are limiten and not very comfortable. We liked The Apple strudel cake, however it was not enough to make us love this place. We would not go back, sorry.

I want to sample one of everything. Fresh baking in the back, delicious baked goodies up front. Coffee is perfect. A plethora of cultures walking in the door every few moments. My daughter and I stopped by for her favorite type of morning food (perhaps not moms favorite lol). Enjoy!

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
