My wife and I enjoy tapas. Our favorite restaurant at home in Massachusetts is a Spanish tapas place. Because of this, Tia Rosa had a high bar to measure up to ...and it did so quite well. We ordered bread and 4 tapas. The total amount of food was perfect -- once I had my chocolate dessert if course. We... More

While out walking, I was looking for a place to take a break and enjoy a glass of wine. In this case, we shared a bottle. We looked for a place that was close, and found Tia Rosa. The wine was good, and the space is adorable. They had cute signs about wine and such as well. We had a... More

Having had little luck the previous night trying to find traditional dutch food we decided to just settle for some tapas, fortunately, this was not only the best meal we had all holidays (I recommend the steak skewers, chorizo and Prawns in oil) but also the best tapas I've ever had, Highly recommend.

We ate here on our last night in Amsterdam, and let's just say we left the best until last! We shared 5 plates of tapas between the two of us as recommended by the waiter, and it was the perfect amount of food, and it was all so delicious! The atmosphere was cosy and friendly, and the service was not... More

This is definitely the best original Spanish tapas in town! So good that you would almost not want other people knowing the place:-). Quality meat and fish prepared in original style and served deliciously and beautiful. Don't expect the regular albóndigas in tomato sauce etc. But be surprised and enjoy!

Imaginative selection of tapas, and served in portions that you can easily turn into a meal, deciding as you go along. Location between canals, near public transport. Wish they had a greater wine and beer selection. But the tapas were delicious.

We happened to walk by Tia Rosa near our accommodation so decided to see whether we could get a table for the evening. We actually didn't read any reviews before going and wow what a treat we were in for. Firstly a fantastic range of wines. Secondly fabulous service. But most importantly the food was amazing. Personal highlights included the... More

After looking on Trip Advisor this pace stood out and wee can see why! I lived in the Canary Islands for some 5 years and know my tapas! This honestly was better than in the CI's. We were welcomed by very friendly staff and you could feel the ambiance when you walked through the door. The tortilla came not as... More

This place is a gem. It's got a great friendly cosy atmosphere, and the food was amazing! Can most highly recommend the steak skewer, but all the tapas dishes we had were delicious. The waiter was great, helping us with how many to order, and he was right- we definitely didn't need more as we'd thought! Great place, would definitely... More

A gorgeous small restaurant with a very welcoming atmosphere. It had a fun buzz to it. The tapas were amazing - I think we ordered far too many (it was difficult to choose! They all sounded so nice). We liked that only one or 2 dishes came at a time, which allowed us to enjoy it all thoroughly. Wine recommendations... More

Tia Rosa is a restaurant located at Reguliersgracht, one of the most beautiful canals of Amsterdam. A place where the free atmosphere of Amsterdam is combined with Spanish charm.

Here you are very welcome to get acquainted with the typical Spanish cuisine, a wide range of tapas, and an exquisite selection of wines. Tia Rosa has an authentic Spanish ambience, complete with a beautiful wooden bar, Spanish mosaic, wine barrels, and an open kitchen. You can order several different tapas and enjoy them standing at the bar while drinking a good glass of beer or wine. If you would rather enjoy a full diner experience, then we welcome you into our cosy restaurant or on our lovely little terrace. Tia Rosa is housed in what used to be two identical warehouses called 'De Zon en De Maan', the Sun and Moon, two beautiful now fully restored buildings from the 17th century. That way Tia Rosa is a small piece of Spain located in the middle of the famous Amsterdam canals.
