Wonderful breakfast in a great atmosphere. There are some boardgames as well for the people who would like to play.

We stopped here by absolute chance in a downpour of heavy rain, and we were extremely glad we did! This lovely little cafe/bar was just what we wanted, the food menu was slightly limited but what we ordered was delicious- I definite recommend the little meat/ cheese balls (the very polite waitress recommended them to us and we were not... Located a block from the hotel, we both enjoy the pastries, light meals, and location of the cafe. Great location to plan & start the day as well as just relaxing after a day of sight seeing. Would visit again Check out their web site

The few things we remember of our trip to Amsterdam is the cafe van Daele and its perfect service. We ordered some beer and cheese and had a good time. Sorry again for breaking the candle!

Had a very much needed breakfast and cup of tea here. Service was excellent. Sat outside which was comfortable . Simple menu and good quality food.

Went here for a late breakfast the day after arriving in amsterdam. While the food was good, the service on the day we went was horrible. It was impossible to get the waiter's attention for anything we needed (including the bill when we were done!).

It wasn't so much that I have been to this place before (but who knows, I may have since I have now been to Amsterdam three times), but sitting out the front, with a coffee, watching some people who had obviously not been to sleep the night before, nursing a beer and making the occasional small talk, did bring back... Nice, relaxing place with good lunch sandwiches, cold beer and friendly staff. Perfect for a break from roaming the streets of Amsterdam.

Just outside Dam Square. Good range of beers and snacks. Free wifi. I can recommend a nice cold pint of Jupiler. They offer breakfast, lunch and evening me us.

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
