I used to pass this place on my way back from yoga, at around 22.00. The outside tables always seemed super romantic. I took my mum when she visited. You cannot book outside, so we sat inside. The bread and butter they brought was divine. We had some game birds, but haven't left a great impression. It was rather dry.... More

We visited the restaurant for our anniversary on 5th February 2017. The food was amazing and could not be faulted at all. We went for the taster menu and it was delicious. We tried things we wouldn't usually order when picking from the menu. Although the food was amazing the reason I have rated as average only was because the... More

Such a mean sirloin Steak. I had dinner with my mum last weekend. The service was impeccable and the food was better than the one I would have cooked at home. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Amsterdam.

We found this restaurant when looking for a place to have a dinner since our usual place was full. Waited for 20 minutes and got a table outside. Food was excellent, staff was extremely friendly and willing to help. We ate the dinner and made a reservation for the next day 😊 Really worth trying.

We were lucky to be staying nearby and decided to give this place a try. What a result! Great menu and really enjoyed my supper - wine list was excellent and we found the waitress very friendly and attentive - we will definitely go back when next in Amsterdam - great place!

Busy and buzzy. A very good standard of food. Pricey - but not outrageous. Service excellent. Perhaps the lightest and tastiest pastry I have tasted for years (with prawns in a chive butter sauce).

We came across this restaurant when walking down one of the canals and were enchanted by all of the twinkly lights! We made a reservation for New Year's Day and were not disappointed by our first meal of 2017! The waitress was absolutely lovely and very friendly to chat to. She helped us with our wine choice as well as... More

Restaurant De Belhamel is located at the junction of two of Amsterdam’s most beautiful canals, the Brouwersgracht (“Brewers’ canal”) and the Herengracht (“Gentlemen’s canal”). It is one of the city’s prettiest spots, quietly situated at the edge of the Jordaan area and offering splendid views on both canals. In summer lunch and dinner are served outside in these lovely surroundings. Not only the location, also the restaurant’s interior is unique: the venue is entirely decorated in the early 20th century Art-Nouveau style, with many original details. The restaurant and entresol give a view over the canals, the bar offers a fine opportunity to enjoy an aperitif before dinner. From 2007 onwards Michelin has rewarded De Belhamel with a ‘Bib Gourmand’.We are looking forward to welcoming you at De Belhamel.
