We went as a couple to celebrate my wife's birthday and while the food was decent enough the service was extremely poor. We were kept waiting for over 20 minutes after being seated before even seeing a menu and ordering a pre-dinner drink. After another 10 minutes or so a waitress came and told us tgat what we had ordred... More

We had oysters, caviar, mussels, the black cod and a chocolate coulant- everything really, really, really good. Amazing, raw, pure tastes. The service was exceptional, kudos to that. Deffinately worth visiting. Ps, THE best coffee in town!

Half raw lobster, Oyster's still intact on shell, Shrimp's mushy, mussels rubbery, and everything in that platter of fruit de mer was bit off quality but pricey.

We had the Fruit de Mer platter. Most of the larger shrimp were mushy. The staff were friendly and helpful, and offered to re-fire a few more. Didn't help. Not sure if it was the cook or the seafood quality. The clams were bland and rubbery. Melted garlic butter would have been welcome. The lobster is served half-raw. They said... More

We were on the hunt for a seafood place but couldn't find it and ran into this small seafood restaurant near our hotel, the Marriott. We cannot say too many good things about this real find! The seafood is top notch and always packed full. Beautiful presentation and delicious.

The name translates to oyster bar. And the oysters sure are the best in town. The rest of the menu is all well prepared and service is very friendly. But if I compare to the seafood bar on Spui, the price ratio is very poor.

Our visit to the restaurant was very worth while! The staff was amazingly friendly, the food was heavenly! The lobster is very recommended. One of the best I've ever had. Super oysters and same for the house special shrimp kroketje. We ended with a delicious desert, which was something with pear and an oven baked cake with rum, the restaurant... More

So, you're in a foreign city, hungry, but don't know where to eat. We walk to the Leidesplein, which is a very busy square, with restaurants all around. We spy this Oesterbar, looking quaint and fairly empty, so we decided to give it a shot. Well, we figured we scored when they brought an oyster menu. Who knew France and... More

Upon arrival we were already warmly greeted by the staff, then they explained in a good way the menu and gave us good advise of the wines! They even recommended a cheaper sancerre instead of the more expensive one as they said it had more taste! Oysters were out of this world tasteful and the rest of the fish and... More
