I am not a smoking person but i tried the best in amsterdam during my trip. Locals offers us to buy from green house and we tried their special tobaccos. Portraits of celebrities on the wall shows us that was the correct place to try...

Great little place - very popular (a bit of a haunt for celebs too) so hard to get a table or even a seat. Staff were lovely and happy to serve tea irrespective of what elkse we were buying unlike some of the cafes we visited. That said, if you did want any other 'refreshments' the sheer amount of cups... Green House Coffeeshop has a nice location with a small terrace on the canal, but we could not see the evidence why this place always rates so high (supposedly the place where the rich and the famous hang out when in town). We found their products disappointing, and there was way too much tobacco smoke inside.

It was a cool experience I asked the budtender to show me a variety of different buds and this was by far the prettiest bud around I walked all over the redlight district and this place was the best!

We've heard a lot of good things about green house, so decided to go on our trip to Amsterdam. The atmosphere was brilliant!!! We had a smoke, sat and listened to some music and had a laugh. The staff were really lovely and chatty and it was really reasonably priced, even though the coffee shop is notorious for celebrities going!

Came here yesterday with my friend. The prices were higher than expected but it was still good. I intended to try cheese flavour but they were out so I got NYC Diesel instead.

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
