Firstly, a place with really good staff as well as the atmosphere. All the dishes are cooked in front of you by the professional, which makes a good show. All dishes are delicious. Really great place to have some Japanese food.

Teppanyaki, the combination of the chef preparing your meal in front of you and the variety of tasteful dishes, is generally a proven formula for a nice evening. The Okura Sazanka restaurant has developed this concept (show and food) into a real art. The service...More

Our Chinese friends from China invited us for dinner and asked for a restaurant recommendation. We recommended them the Sazanka teppanyaki restaurant in Hotel Okura, Amsterdam or De Voetangel, a Dutch restaurant in a countryside setting near Ouderkerk aan de Amstel. My friends chose Sazanka,...More

I would like to know how critical is using the chopsticks in the restaurant. If a person is not skilled in using then, can he or she asks for a firk and a knife or it will be rude? I need to know because if it is rude I need to cancel a reservation because I have a problem with fingers that it make it hard for me to hold a chopstick. Many thanks!

Description
The Teppan-chefs will prepare the most delicious fish, meat and vegetarian dishes on a hot iron griddle at your table: a la minute cooking with Japanese precision. The contemporary Japanese interior, inspired by the elements of stone, wood, water and fire, is an oasis of tranquillity. The teppanyaki griddles are large enough for seven to ten guests and are ideal for both business and celebratory dinners. Sazanka is open for dinner from 18:30 to 22:00 daily. Lunch can be prepared for a minimum group size of 10 people and must be booked in advance.
